THE
DURST LAMBDA
Our two Durst Lambda 130's produce laser written photographic
images on roll stock up to 50" wide. This ultra high
resolution prints have smoother text, better image quality
and more brilliant color rendition than comparable high dpi
devices. Scan quality, text quality and illustration quality
exceeds the quality of any other output device, especially
in large prints. The Lambda writes to C-print, Flex material,
Duratrans, and Duraclear.
Color
proofs
Color proofs are produced from your files for previewing colors,
images and text. Prints will be made on the appropriate material,
at the same aspect ratio of the final layout up to 24x36 in
size. If the final RIP size is larger than the proof, additional
RIP charges will be incurred at final printing time. Changes
to the files after proofing will incur additional file prep
charges depending on the complexity and number of changes.
Proofs and alterations are
an ongoing process and take time. Please allow additional
time for proofing, alterations and final approvals before
printing. Rush charges may be incurred when proofing is delayed
so that the final project must be completed on a rush basis.

File
Prep and RIP
This is the procedure required to ready a file for Lambda
or Inkjet production. File Prep and RIP applies to a "standard"
order. This includes files set up for digital printing, with
limited embedded raster images, and colors specified as Pantone.
Costs will be added for additional work provided on a time
and materials basis.
Additional time or steps
required to fully prep jobs will be charged as system time
in 1/4 hour increments. Charges may be incurred for searching
drives, reformatting incorrectly saved files, re-specifying
colors not spec'd as pantones, providing laser proofs, fonts
not provided, CMYK to RGB conversion, etc. Please call ahead
with your project parameters so that we can work with you
